Two people escaped uninjured after a gunman opened fire on a house in Dublin, gardaí said today.

Two people escaped uninjured after a gunman opened fire on a house in Dublin, gardaí said today.

Detectives have launched an investigation into the attack at Mourne Road in Drimnagh.

Shots were fired at the house at around 1am this morning, according to the Garda Press Office.

Although two people were inside at the time they both escaped unharmed from the attack.

A garda spokesman said: “This is still an operational matter. We are investigating it.”
