Cheryl Cole could return to the UK 'X Factor' with Simon Cowell.
The Girls Aloud singer's manager will.i.am thinks the pair – who quit the British version of the ITV1 talent show to work on the new US 'X Factor' alongside panellists Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid – will eventually return to the UK programme once the American series is established.
He said: "It would have been impossible for them to do it this year, but I wouldn't rule out Cheryl and Simon both returning. The UK 'X Factor' is Cheryl's first love."
Cheryl seems to be settling in well on the US 'X Factor' after joining the show earlier this month, and the Black Eyed Peas star revealed the Geordie singer has teamed up with Paula to wind-up Simon.
He told The Sun newspaper: "Cheryl is loving auditions and has found a new friend in Paula.
"They worked out pretty quickly that it's funny to annoy Simon, but even funnier if they gang up and do it together.
"Simon used to have Cheryl to put up with on the 'X Factor' and Paula on 'America Idol', but now he has to cope with them together. They are not letting him have an easy ride, but he loves it really."
Simon recently explained how Paula – who he first worked with on 'American Idol' - was an ideal choice for the judging panel because she has her own opinions.
He previously said: "What's interesting is she's snappy. Paula. You know, she doesn't like something. I've forgotten what she's like. She doesn't like you to disagree with her. And there were one or two disagreements."
