Gardaí in Dublin are appealing for the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of a missing 28-year-old man.

Gardaí in Dublin are today appealing for the public's help in tracing the whereabouts of a missing 28-year-old man.

Steven Trainor is missing from the Smithfield area since the early hours of Monday morning.

He was last seen at approximately 2am and it is believed that he may have travelled in a taxi from the Smithfield Market or City Centre areas to the Howth area.

He is described as being 5 foot 7 inches in height with fair hair and blue eyes.

Gardaí are particularly keen to talk to any taxi drivers who may have seen or picked up Steven.
