Father kills four daughters before committing suicide
An Austrian man killed four of his five daughters before committing suicide, police said today.
The 50-year-old man from the Vienna suburb of Mauerbach shot the four girls to death after an argument with his wife late yesterday.
The man beat his wife and she was taken to a hospital with serious injuries.
Police believe the argument was over an unresolved property issue within the family.
The four girls, who were between the ages of four and ten, died at the scene. The fifth daughter, 21, was not at home at the time.
