Prince William 'could be game hero'

Prince William has all the qualities needed to become an action hero in a computer video game, according to electrical retailer Dixons.

The company got together five of its software buyers to assess the abilities of a range of personalities.

They then matched these against key categories which help make a game a hit.

The Prince scored 87 out of a possible 100, beating pop star Robbie Williams who gained 71 points, television presenters Ant and Dec, with 70 points, and actor Hugh Grant, 55 points.

Pop Idol Gareth Gates would make the ideal sidekick for the Prince, they believe, while singer Kylie Minogue has all the qualities of a leading lady.

The personality best suited for the villain in the imaginary game should be modelled on footballer-turned-actor Vinnie Jones, according to the Dixons’ buyers who gave him 82 points out of 100.

Stuart Carson, Dixons marketing director, said: ‘‘Prince William is becoming quite the action man.

‘‘He is an international traveller with dashing looks and seems to be every inch the modern hero.’’

The experiment was conducted to coincide with renewed interest in computer games consoles, following the launch of the Microsoft Xbox to rival the Sony PS2.
