Elderly woman dies in Limerick house fire

An elderly woman has died following a house fire in the Co Limerick village of Glin this morning.

An elderly woman has died following a house fire in the Co Limerick village of Glin this morning.

The blaze broke out at the Corbery housing estate in the early hours of the morning.

One house was destroyed and a second also caught fire before the situation was brought under control.

The dead woman is believed to have been in her 60s.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
