New hospital approved for site near Enniskillen

The North's Environment Minister has given the go-ahead for the construction of a new acute hospital near Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh.

The North's Environment Minister has given the go-ahead for the construction of a new acute hospital near Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh.

Sammy Wilson has approved planning permission for the 312-bed building, which will also include out-patient facilities, A&E wards, operating theatres and research labs.

The hospital will be built on a 16-acre site on the Irvinestown Road.
