Speed camera bombed in NI

A speed camera has been bombed in an attack in north Belfast early this morning.

A speed camera has been bombed in an attack in north Belfast early this morning.

The attack took place shortly after 5am. A police patrol heard an explosion in the Antrim Road area and traced it to the camera in nearby Chichester Park.

A pipe-bomb-type device containing two gas cylinders was found to have been detonated at the camera.

The camera is being examined to establish the extent of the damage.
