Residential disability centres: Fewer that 2% comply with all regulations
Fewer than 2% of residential centres for people with disabilities comply fully with regulations.
In a series of reports published by the health standards authority HIQA, only three out of 190 centres were found to be fully compliant with all the regulations.
Meanwhile, almost 20% of residential centres failed to fully comply with any of the regulations.
