Man gets date wrong for royal wedding tattoo

A British man has got a royal wedding tattoo - with the wrong date.

Stephen Nesbitt's souvenir of Prince William and Princess Catherine's big day went badly wrong when tattooist Alan Fleck inked April 28 instead of April 29 on the factory worker's thigh at his studio in Newcastle.

The 33-year-old royal family fanatic asked for "Good Luck William and Kate" and did not even realise the date was wrong until a friend pointed out the error later that day.

Luckily Stephen, who paid £30 (€33.82) for the tattoo and was later reimbursed, saw the funny side of the mistake.

He said: "It's quirky. It'll be the only one in the country with that date."
