Companies with equality policies are more productive than companies without, according to the ESRI.
The ESRI are launching the findings of their study 'Workplace Equality in the Recession', which highlights how employers who treat staff fairly have a higher output than companies who do not rate equality as a priority.
The study found that equality policies are associated with higher job satisfaction and higher employee commitment.
Senior Research Officer with the ESRI, Frances McGinnitty, said it benefits both companies and employees to have such a policy in place.
