Aer Lingus has finalised a deal which will allow human remains to be flown home to Ireland, despite the decision to cease some of its cargo operations.
The national airline has reached agreement with an air handling company in London's Heathrow Airport.
Human remains from anywhere in the world will be brought via London to Dublin, Cork and Shannon Airports on Aer Lingus services.
Out of Ireland, Aer Lingus will carry remains to London Heathrow, to Frankfurt and on direct transatlantic flights.
