A 42-year-old man has died following an accident at a grain loading facility in Co Cork this afternoon.

A 42-year-old man has died following an accident at a grain loading facility in Co Cork this afternoon.

The lorry driver, who was from Co. Cork, was fatally injured when he was trapped between the rear of the truck and the machine loading grain at a grain depot in Kinsale.

The accident happened at around 12.45pm this afternoon and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Both the Gardaí and Health and Safety Authority are investigating.
