Man held after drugs seizure at Dublin Airport

A 25-year-old man has been arrested following the seizure of a quantity of drugs at Dublin airport this afternoon.

A 25-year-old man has been arrested following the seizure of a quantity of drugs at Dublin airport this afternoon.

The man is not believed to be Irish and he was arrested just before 2pm after arriving on a flight from Paris.

Gardai and customs officials recovered cannabis with an estimated street value of £40,000.

The man is being held at Santry Garda station under section two of the Drug Trafficking Act, under which he can be held for up to seven days for questioning.
