Ossmoses out of National

Ossmoses has been ruled out of the John Smith’s Grand National.

Ossmoses has been ruled out of the John Smith’s Grand National.

Don Forster’s charge has not recovered from a tendon injury sustained last month and will play no part in the four-mile-four-furlong feature on April 14.

“I’m afraid he’s out of the National,” Forster confirmed.

“We are all pretty gutted here as you can imagine, but we hope he’ll be back for the second half of next season so a crack at the National next year is still a possibility.”

Ossmoses had been a well-fancied 16-1 chance with Coral for the Aintree marathon.

John Smith’s Grand National:

Coral bet: 9-1 Dun Doire, 10-1 Point Barrow, 11-1 Numbersixvalverde, 14-1 Hedgehunter, Joes Edge, Simon, 16-1 Eurotrek, L’Ami, 18-1 Bothar Na, 20-1 Clan Royal, Idle Talk, Jack High, Monkerhostin, 25-1 Bar
