Lithuanian man dies after falling from cliff in Co Clare

A young Lithuanian man has reportedly died after falling from a cliff at Loop Head in Co Clare yesterday evening.

A young Lithuanian man has reportedly died after falling from a cliff at Loop Head in Co Clare yesterday evening.

Reports this morning said the man was taking photographs with friends at the popular tourist area when he lost his footing and plunged 60 metres into the water.

He was later winched from the sea by a rescue helicopter, but was pronounced dead on arrival at Tralee General Hospital.

A post mortem is due to be carried out on his remains later today.
