Gwyneth Paltrow has become so obsessed with British reality TV show Big Brother, she hopes to turn it into a movie directed by Steven Spielberg.
The Oscar-winning beauty, who is well-known for starring in highbrow literary adaptations, has spent a lot of time watching the programme with husband Chris Martin and newborn daughter Apple.
Paltrow was further influenced by British comedian Ben Elton's book Dead Famous, a murder mystery that parodies the reality television phenomenon.
And, amazed by the recent high-levels of bawdy profanity on the Channel 4 show, Paltrow suggested the idea of making a Big Brother movie to her godfather, Spielberg.
A source told British newspaper the Daily Star: "Gwyn has seen a little of the reality TV thing in the States but it was nothing like this.
"She can't believe they show this kind of thing, especially all the nudity and swearing. She and Chris have been home a lot recently and as soon as little Apple is down for the night they've been tuning in.
"Gwyn thinks the dramatic tension in the show could be the perfect blueprint for a tense and darkly humorous movie based on the old Andy Warhol principle of our 15 minutes of fame.
"She's been having a lot of time to think while she settled with Apple, and she decided to mention her thoughts to Steven."
