Two supporters were arrested at today’s Community Shield between Manchester United and Arsenal at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium after a cigarette lighter and a bottle were thrown at Gunners striker Thierry Henry.

Henry was about to take a corner midway through the first half when the objects were hurled out of a part of the ground occupied by United supporters.

Stewards moved in swiftly to identify those concerned, who now face a three-year banning order preventing them from attending any professional match in England and Wales.
