The Dublin Fire Brigade and DSPCA joined forces yesterday for a very important rescue operation.
A cat named Casper had fallen in to the River Liffey off Bridge Street in Ringsend. The cat managed to perch on a rock but was unable to climb out.
Big rescue with ourselves and @DubFireBrigade at ringsend under the bridge, poor cat is in Liffey! We will keep you posted

A passer-by alerted the DSPCA and a boat was launched to retrieve the 18-month-old kitty - who was presumably a bit cranky but other okay.
Y'day we helped @DublinSPCA following a request for assistance. Caspar has now been safely reunited with his owner. pic.twitter.com/ci22FHLfmW

And they've released a video of the happy moment - you can hear the poor littly guy's meows as his rescuers approach.
Luckily, Caspar was microchipped so the DSPCA was able to reunite Caspar with his owner.
