A Mayo priest's lunch receipt has gone viral after he shared it on Facebook

A priest got an unexpected perk of the job when out to lunch in Westport yesterday.

After eating his super salad, Father Charlie McDonnell saw that his waiter had noted he was the parish priest when putting in his order and so had requested a few extra prawns for him (nice!).

Charlie shared a pic of the docket on his Facebook page (very mod-ren) with the caption:

"Just spotted my lunch docket as I was paying Got a bit of a laugh.. Didnt ask for it and the waiter is Muslim.. All friends down here!!"

The priest, originally from Castlebar, also has a Twitter account with the handle Fr. Chaz and he tweets everything from mass times to thoughts on suicide prevention.

His Facebook post has now gone viral, with a few people a little jealous of the priest's free food.
