Man held after cyclist hurt in hit-and-run

A 32-year-old man was arrested tonight in connection with a hit-and-run in Dublin.

A 32-year-old man was arrested tonight in connection with a hit-and-run in Dublin.

A cyclist was seriously injured when he was struck from behind by a car.

Gardaí said the vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.

The incident happened in Templeogue Road, Terenure, at around 1.45am.

The arrested man is being held at Terenure garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí have appealed for anyone in the area at around 1.45am to come forward.
