Seamus Brennan is studying proposals by the Rail Procurement Agency for an underground metro for Dublin.

Seamus Brennan is studying proposals by the Rail Procurement Agency for an underground metro for Dublin.

Geologists are due to carry out tests on rock and earth beneath the capital's streets in the next few months to see how suitable it is for tunnelling.

The Transport Minister says he is in favour of the idea.
