Officials have decided to check conditions after the track saw an unexpected eight millimetres of rain overnight.

General manager Amy Fair said: "We had rain overnight which just came on top of three days of rain.

"We are hopeful. We have already rejigged the programme to make life raceable and we will be doing our best to get the meeting on.

"We weren't expecting that much rain overnight and it wasn't in any of the forecasts."
