The Coastguard and Naval Service are continuing to search for a lobster fisherman and a diver who have been missing off the Wexford coast since last week.

Thirty-seven-year-old Pat Colfer, the skipper of the Rising Sun, has been missing since the lobster boat capsized and sank near the Saltee Islands last Tuesday afternoon, claiming the life of a fellow crewman.

Forty-nine-year-old Billy O'Connor disappeared on Thursday while examining the wreck of the vessel as part of the search for Mr Colfer's body.

Bad weather hampered attempts to reach the sea bed yesterday, but search teams are expecting improved conditions today and later this week.
