IBA president highlight's brokers' key role

The incoming President of the Irish Brokers Association, Donagh McSharry, has said brokers have a key role to play as financial intermediaries, offering advice and choice to consumers, but that they need to remind consumers of that role.

The incoming President of the Irish Brokers Association, Donagh McSharry, has said brokers have a key role to play as financial intermediaries, offering advice and choice to consumers, but that they need to remind consumers of that role.

McSharry was speaking today at the Irish Brokers Association annual conference weekend, taking place at the Radisson SAS Hotel, in his home town of Sligo.

The event is taking place for the first time in the North-West.

Mr McSharry, is the youngest ever President of the IBA at aged 32, succeeding Padraig O’Sullivan.
