A new smokeless fuel facility is being built in New Ross, Co Wexford.
The €3m investment by Stafford Fuels will secure 35 existing jobs and lead to six new jobs when the plant is fully operational.
Ten further jobs will be created during the construction phase.
Planning permission has been granted for the new facility, and construction is expected to start within the next few weeks.
It will have capacity to produce 50,000 tonnes of smokeless fuels a year.
