Fine Gael has extended its lead over Fianna Fáil to 13 points according to the Sunday Business Post/Red C poll.

The Sunday paper’s latest opinion poll shows support for Fianna Fáil has fallen by two points whilst Fine Gael is up one.

Voters would rather see higher taxes for households earning more than €100,000 than cuts to health, welfare and education.

There is also significant support for public sector pay cuts.

Support for Fianna Fáil is down two to 23%; Fine Gael is up one to 36%; Labour has fallen by two to 17%; Sinn Fein is up one at 10%; the Greens are up two to 5% and there's no change for the independents at 9%.
