A 32-year-old man has escaped injury in a pipe-bomb attack on his flat in Armagh last night.

A 32-year-old man has escaped injury in a pipe-bomb attack on his flat in Armagh last night.

The device exploded on the windowsill of the flat in Tyross Gardens shortly after 10.30pm and caused substantial damage to the building.

The occupant of the flat was inside at the time, but he was not hurt in the blast.

Up to three masked men were seen in the area just prior to the attack.
