Eleven men have been charged after six cannabis farms worth around £6m were uncovered in England.

Ecstasy, cash and fraudulent identity documents were also discovered in the joint operation by Greater Manchester Police, Immigration Services and North West Electricity on Thursday.

Following the raids across Greater Manchester and Cheshire, police charged Fatjon Hazizi, 30, Palatine Road, Didsbury, Elton Omuri, 24, of Chippenham Road, Manchester, Besnik Hoxha, 32, of Cedric Road, Crumpsall, Arjan Harisis, 24, of Hancock Street, Stretford, and Krenar Harisis, 31, of Carlton Road, Whalley Range with conspiracy to supply cannabis.

Haxhi Hazizi, 18, of Styal View, Wilmslow, Antonio Kojo, 24, of Pensby Close, Pendlebury, Gentjan Harisis, 26, of Ardenfield Drive, Wythenshawe, and Mario Hasanbasha, 29, of Palatine Road, Didsbury were additionally charged with abstracting electricity.

Ismail Agaci, 20, of Leicester Street, Rochdale and Taulant Hoxha, 29, of Carlton Road, Whalley Range were also charged with possession of a fraudulent document.

All 11 were remanded in custody to appear at Manchester Crown Court on August 19.

A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply cannabis and bailed until September 21.
