Ayr give green light for Tuesday's meeting, waterlogged Exeter called off

Tuesday’s meeting at Ayr goes ahead after officials cancelled a planned 12pm inspection.

Clerk of the course Emma Marley had planned to assess conditions later today after snow fell at the track on Saturday.

However, she reports that to have cleared and with the course covered, she anticipates no problems for the meeting.

Marley tweeted: “Inspection cancelled – racing goes ahead tomorrow. Soft (track covered) – snow away; patchy rain today mostly dry tomorrow.”

However, Tuesday’s meeting at Exeter has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.

Officials were due to inspect the course at 8am due to the threat of further heavy rain.

However, 15 millimetres has fallen so far today and with more rain expected they have taken an early decision to call off the meeting.
