The Government is due to face further Dáil fire this evening over the controversial cutbacks announced in October's Budget.
Fine Gael is due to table a private members' motion seeking a reversal of cuts in various agriculture support schemes.
The motion calls for the reversal of cuts to the Disadvantaged Area Scheme and the restoration of Young Farmer Installation Aid and the Early Retirement Scheme.
Fine Gael is set to argue that, while everyone has to bear the brunt of the economic downturn, farmers have been disproportionately targeted and vital aid is being scrapped due to the Government's inability to manage the public finances.
