Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman on a beach in County Louth.

Gardaí are investigating the discovery of the body of a woman on a beach in County Louth.

The body was found washed up on the beach in Baltray this afternoon.

Gardaí believe the woman may have been in the water for some time.

The body has been taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda for a post mortem.
