Full steam ahead for public-private partnership college

The contract has been signed for the country's first third level college to be operated as a public-private partnership.

The contract has been signed for the country's first third level college to be operated as a public-private partnership.

The National Maritime College in Ringaskiddy, Co Cork, will be operated for the first 25 years by Focus Education Ltd.

The college will train students in marine safety, fire-fighting, navigation and in the use of lifeboats.
