Police are guarding the body of Moors murderer, Myra Hindley, following her death in hospital yesterday.

Officials have said they fear the body could be mutilated and that photographers might attempt to snatch pictures.

One of Britain's most notorious killers, Hindley died yesterday at the age of 60 after a long illness.

She was jailed in 1966 along with her partner, Ian Brady, for the torture and murder of three children.

Twenty-one years later, they confessed to two more killings.
