Former Yugoslav president Slobodan Milosevic has opened his defence at the UN War Crimes Tribunal.

He presented a written motion contesting the court’s legality and requesting the dismissal of his case.

He has refused to appoint a lawyer and maintains he’ll conduct his own defence.
