Tadhg Purcell scored early and late to get Shamrock Rovers back to winning ways at the Carlisle Grounds.

Purcell punished a defensive mistake by Gary Cronin on seven minutes to race through and shoot past Steve Williams for the opening goal before a sun-drenched crowd of over 2,500.

Rovers reamined well on top and sealed their win ten minutes from time.

Another defenisve error, this time by Steve Gough, gifted the ball to Purcell and he ran on to again shoot under Williams to give his side their thrid win in four games.
