The violence in Libya has already had an impact on the oil markets, with the potential to cause fuel prices to rise further.
Brent crude jumped to $105 a barrel today, its highest level since 2008.
The hike in prices is due to Libya's position as the producer of 2% of all the world's oil production, exporting 1.1 million barrels every day.
