Gardai have released the name of the woman who died following a road accident in Co Laois today.

Gardai have released the name of the woman who died following a road accident in Co Laois today.

The victim was 23-year-old Emer Scully from Hawthorn Drive in Portlaoise.

She died when the car she was driving went out of control and struck a pole on the roadside at about 4.30am today.
