Ireland's world boxing champion Katie Taylor is due to return home at about 4pm today.
Twenty-three-year-old Katie Taylor from Bray in Co Wicklow earned the lightweight title for the third time in a row in Barbados at the weekend.
She beat her Chinese opponent by 18 points to 5 on Saturday night. It was the Wicklow woman's third world title having scooped the accolade in 2006 and 2008.
President Mary McAleese has said all Irish people could be "immensely proud" of her.
Taylor said she just wanted to keep improving after her win.
"It's a big honour..I just want to keep getting better and…when I finish my career just look back and be proud of how well I've done," she said.
Taylor is expected to arrive at Dublin Airport at 4pm today.
