The Central Statistics Office has reported that 1,127 work days were lost due to industrial disputes from April to June this year.

The Central Statistics Office has reported that 1,127 work days were lost due to industrial disputes from April to June this year.

The latest figures show there were two disputes in progress in the second quarter of the year involving 255 workers and two firms.

This compares to three disputes for the same period last year involving 10,100 workers and resulting in 8,792 days lost.

The transport and storage sector accounted for 95% of the days lost during the three months in question.
