Bray Wanderers 0 Galway United 1

Alan Murphy earned Galway their first win of the season as Bray finished with 10 men at the Carlisle Grounds.

Galway edged a lively first half and just about deserved their match winning lead that came on 27 minutes.

Ciaran Foley skipped past a couple of tackles to feed Alan Murphy who turned well to drill a shot that trickled through the hands of Chris O’Connor to roll over the line.

Alan Cawley clipped the Galway bar minutes later before Gary Rogers made a terrific one-handed save from Bray skipper Clive Delaney’s header.

Bray had Steve Gough sent off for a second booking on 54 minutes and dominated the remainder of the game, but could find no way past Rogers.
