Two planes collided today while taxiing to an airport runway.

Two planes collided today while taxiing to an airport runway.

The aircraft, carrying a total of 287 passengers, touched wings as they were being taken to Manchester Airport’s first runway.

The planes were a Futura flight to Tenerife and a Lufthansa flight bound for Frankfurt, Germany.

An airport spokesman said there were no injuries.

The Airport Fire Service was assessing both aircraft before they returned to Terminal One.

No other flights were delayed by the incident.
