A woman was today appearing in court charged with murder after the skeletal remains of three children were discovered in a flat.
The 24-year-old woman was arrested yesterday morning after the discovery of bones at an address in Summertown Road, Govan, Glasgow.
The charge relates to the remains of one child.
Police forensic tests later concluded that the remains of three children were within the second floor property.
A spokeswoman for the Crown Office said: ‘‘A 24-year-old woman has been charged with murder in relation to the death of a child.
‘‘Examinations are being conducted into the circumstances of the death of three children in total.’’
The woman was expected to appear before Glasgow Sheriff Court later today.
