Woman rescued by pair from London apartment explosion

A woman has been air-lifted to hospital after an explosion and fire in a block of flats in west London.

Two people who carried her to safety have been treated for breathing in smoke at Edensor Gardens in Chiswick.

40 people have been evacuated from the building.

Kevin McKenzie from London Fire Brigade said it was a very intense and "fully developed" fire.

"The heat and the fire itself… would have been quite intense. So yes, she was very lucky."
