Woman dies in Galway collision

A woman in her 70s has died in a two-car crash in Galway.

A woman in her 70s has died in a two-car crash in Galway.

It happened at Two Mile Ditch on the Tuam Road at around midday.

The pensioner, in her early 70s, died when the car, in which she was the only occupant, hit another vehicle.

The driver and five occupants of the other car were taken to Galway University Hospital, but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
