Forthefirstime will bid for Pattern-race glory in the C.L. Weld Park Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.
The aptly-named John Oxx-trained filly gave racehorse ownership company Byerley Racing their first victory in a six-furlong Listed event at the track earlier in the month.
She is one of 23 entries for this weekend’s test, which could also feature the Tracey Collins-trained Kyniska and Dermot Weld’s impressive Leopardstown maiden winner Maryellen’s Spirit.
Of Forthefirstime, Byerley’s racing director Charles Lee said: “The filly is very progressive and tough and seems to be improving for her racing.
“She stayed on nicely to win over six furlongs last time and we are very hopeful that she will prove equally as effective at the step back up in trip to seven furlongs on the better ground, compared to her previous run at the trip when the ground was riding very soft.”
