Cocaine with an estimated street value of €784,000 was seized following the interception of a freight vehicle as it disembarked a ferry at Dublin Port yesterday.

A 38-year-old man was arrested for drug trafficking offences and is being detained at Store Street Garda Station, under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice ( Drug Trafficking ) Act 1996.

Around 11.2 kilos of the drug was discovered as part of an intelligence-led, joint operation between officers from Revenue’s Customs Service and the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau of An Garda Síochána.
