Shamrock Rovers have dismissed Roddy Collins following their relegation from the Premier Division last Friday.

Collins took over as manager towards the end of last season and still had a year to run on his present contract but, having been suspended by Rovers for the final three games of the season due to an “internal matter”, was dismissed.

The move was not a surprise following his suspension and Tony Cousins and Pat Scully have already been mentioned as possible replacements.
