CORI slams 'inadequate' housing policy

The Conference of Religious in Ireland (CORI) has accused the Government of neglecting the poor through its "totally inadequate" response to the housing crisis.

The Conference of Religious in Ireland (CORI) has accused the Government of neglecting the poor through its "totally inadequate" response to the housing crisis.

CORI said the Government’s housing policy was in disarray, with waiting lists getting longer while thousands of holiday homes continue to be built.

The organisation said it would take 30 years to clear these waiting lists at the rate the Government is currently addressing the problem.
