The winter vomiting virus has broken out at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.

Winter vomiting bug hits St Vincent's Hospital

The winter vomiting virus has broken out at St Vincent's Hospital in Dublin.

So far, the bug has affected 21 patients over five wards.

In an effort to stop the spread of the virus, the public has been asked to avoid visiting the hospital if possible.

Those making essential trips are asked to clean their hands as often as possible while in the facility.
